Sources and methodology
Where the facts come from
- Service Public: the Talent card, the visitor card, the long-term resident card, naturalisation, French level for residence cards, French level for nationality, the civic exam, fees from 1 May 2026, IFI and the flat tax.
- Tax administration: the impatriate regime, article 155 B of the tax code and purchase costs.
- Business France, La French Tech, France-Visas and the ANEF portal.
- Data published by BRIDGES: France, Talent Passport, visitor, UK posting news and the Passport Index.
How I check and date information
- Each article shows an "Updated" date. It changes only when the facts are reviewed.
- Where sources differ, I show both and say which one is official.
Facts I could not confirm in official sources
- the time of 2-3 months from filing to the visa or status is a BRIDGES practice figure, not a legal deadline;
- the visitor resources test: Service Public gives €1,477.93 net a month, BRIDGES the gross SMIC of €1,867.02; the consulate decides in each case;
- the €30,000 figure for founders on the BRIDGES page matches the company creation ground; innovative projects recognised by a public body have no investment threshold in the official text;
- the number of jobs for the €300,000 investor ground is not fixed in the official sources;
- the long-stay visa fee of €99 comes from Business France;
- the passport rank, 7th of 199 with 184 destinations, comes from the BRIDGES Passport Index of 4 October 2026.
How often the guides are updated
